"Hm," was all Razor could say before shrugging. "Well, if that's how you feel I can't stop you, however, it really would be wise of you not to come near our territory then." There was a hint of danger in that last phrase as Razor slowly reverted back to his old self. "But if you change your mind, or have something of importance to tell someone with us, then I'll let you in on a secret - if you stand five foxlengths away from a patrol and swish your tail twice in the air, that's the sign of peace among us. No one will attack you if you do that." He flattened his ears against his head. "Feel honored, I don't tell many cats that."

"Gee, don't I feel special," Spike replied. She turned around again, intent on leaving. But something made her stop. She realized she had one more thing to say, so she turned her eyes and locked her eyes with Razor's.
"Oh, and by the way," she purred. "I wouldn't claim this territory so haughtily if I were you. There are dangers around here that would make even your matted fur stand on end."
She swished her tail twice, mocking his group's peace gesture, and stalked away.

Razor tried his best to remain calm. He sniffed and muttered to himself, "She'll realize sooner or later what she's missing," and padded off back towards his dumpster, growling. Damn that Cross! He always put Razor in the worst of moods, despite the fact that his temper was already unstable. Cross put him over the edge.

Kloie hated to admit it, but she was paranoid at the moment. It wasn't just because she was predicting another pregnancy cycle to be continued on her part, but that danger was lurking in any corner-just waiting to strike her and Blitzen!
After all, they could just find other Queens, right? And if she and Blitzen were gone, there were less mouths to feed.
She shook her head and grumbled something, then called for her son.
"Blitzen, come here! It's sunhigh, don't you know?"
Blizten, a puny kitten for his age caught up and trailed obediently behind his mother. Honestly, he didn't see why his mother chose this destination everyday. Sure, it meant keeping her distance away from the others, but he thought that this was a little too far. He decided not to say anything.
The mother and child were nearing towards the local pizzeria-inhaling their fresh scents of freshly made pizza and saw the door open. A two-legged person dressed in white wearing a ridiculous hat that they saw everyday stood outside that they rushed towards. In his hands appeared to be crusts. He leaned forward, bent down...
And then they noticed another cat replacing them instead. The two-legged one went back inside and shut the door after feeding the cat. The other two were too late.
The cat took notice of them and looked up as he gnawed and chewed at his food.
This cat...
Kloie had never seen him around here before.
"Oh, you guys showed up? I like your choice of food." And now she never wanted to see him again.
She growled and bore her fangs, ready to pounce on the unknown cat.
"Hey! You better share that. My boy and I are starving." The cat took another huge bite of the crusts.
"I'm sorry, what was that?" he asked after swallowing.
"I said my boy and I are starving." She looked at Blitzen. "Right, son?" The kit didn't reply back and she sighed.
"Listen, I'm starving, too. I've been wandering these streets for about a moon, now, so you're just going to have to deal with it and go somewhere else to feed."
And then Kloie lost it. She took a great leap and raised her paw to scratch the cat across the eye, but ended up just missing the cat who instead took off and ran up close to Blitzen.
"Well, how about we have a trade, then?" he asked, "You get to eat or I take the cat. You can always just have more kittens, you know." Kloie hissed loudly and walked away from the crusts lying on the ground.
"Blizten, we're leaving." She retrieved Blitzen and took one last look at the cat as they headed the other way.
"By the way," the cat called after them, "The name's Whisker. Ya might have to remember that." The mother and son ignored them.
"I wish you were a warrior right now like your siblings," she whispered to Blitzen, "Then you could have offed him for me. After all, he's not one of us." Blitzen still made no response.

Razor snarled and walked by one of the many Twoleg food places. Upon witnessing this white cat bothering one of his kit-mothers and soon-to-be trainees, he charged forward and snarled at the intruder. "You! Who do you think you are, harassing a kit-mother and her son?!"

Whisker had been biting and eating his "rightfully deserved crusts" once again until he noticed a shadow hovering over him and hissing in his ears. He looked up at the cat with annoyance and took a quick bite of his food.
"And who do you think YOU are, telling ME what to do?" He finished off the last of the crust and licked his lips. "That kit-mother and her son arrived after me by coincidence, so they didn't get a share of food and they could have just gone somewhere else instead of trying to pick a fight with me. What are you gonna do about it?"

Razor hissed. "I'll rip out your bloody throat if you go near my cats again, rogue! This is Alley Cat territory!" He unsheathed his long, sharp claws and bared his fangs. "Come near here again and I'll make sure you can't so much as breathe again! Only cowards and scum refuse a kit-mother and her children food!"

"Alley Cat Territory?" he repeated with surprise, "You are all part of THE Alley Cats." His expression dissolved into something softer than it previously had been.
"What a shame. We've already gotten on the wrong paw. If I knew, I would have eaten somewhere else or offered the kit-mother and her son my crust-no matter how tasty it was. After all, the only reason why I came this way was to find the territory in the first place. I planned on staying," he said.
Whisker drew closer to the other cat and looked at him suspiciously.
"I assume that you're the leader. Am I right?"

Razor measured this cat in a glance. Hm. Looked pretty weak, but he obviously had a nasty attitude. He might be useful.
"I am," Razor responded. "Call me Razor. And you are?"

Whisker grinned slyly and flashed his eyes at Razor.
"The name is Whisker- used to be Whiskerstump." The smile quickly disappeared when he looked back at Kloie and Blitzen.
"My apologies for the occurrence. I won't see that it will happen again."
Kloie took another look at him and lowered her ears in response and hissed as if forcing herself to not mind the incident. She quickly moved away with Blitzen in search of another two legged restaurant that would offer food to her and the kit.
"I'm hoping he doesn't join us," she muttered loud enough for Blitzen to hear, "The last thing we need is another arrogant and selfish cat. Always know how to find them and avoid their attempts to gain your trust at all costs."

"Used to be?" Razor asked, now curious. His claws were still out, but much of his initial hostility had faded.

Whisker sighed all the while secretly satisfied with the other cat's curiosity.
"Yes. I was banned from the Blazeclan just recently, so I decided to just leave my name is Whisker," he\ stated, then turning away, "But no matter. That story itself is of probably no importance to you. You probably don't need an ex-warrior like me around anyway."

Razor huffed. "I don't care much about stories and the like, but I can always use more fighters and hunters. Interested? I can make it worth your while."
